Andre' Baron, O.D. - Optometric Physician
Dr. Andre M. Baron was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University in 1997, and later his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2001.
During his clinical training, Dr. Baron completed rotations at The Eye Institute at NSU and the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Additional training led him to Jacksonville, Florida. There he practiced at Liane Downtown Eye Associates under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Liane, Florida’s Optometrist of the Decade, earning honors for his rotation.
Dr. Baron also gained advanced experience in ocular disease through rotations with leading ophthalmology practices in Jacksonville, including The Southern Eye Institute, Retina Associates of Jacksonville, Maida Lasik Vision Center, and The Baptist Eye Institute. There, he received specialized training in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, as well as corneal conditions including dry eye disease and ocular infections.
Following his clinical rotations Dr Baron practiced in the Jacksonville and Orlando areas. In 2009 he was selected to serve on the Pearle Vision Optometric Advisory Council, a national group dedicated to enhancing the patient experience and advancing standards of care. In 2011, he moved to North Georgia where he continues to provide personalized, high-quality eye care.
Dr. Baron lives in Young Harris with his wife, Monica, and their two children, Max and Charlie. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family.
